Objective: To provide hands-on apprenticeship opportunities for individuals interested in traditional Asante art and craftsmanship.

Program of Activities
  • Apprenticeship Selection
    • – Outreach and recruitment of individuals interested in art and craftsmanship.
    • – Application and selection process.
  • Training Sessions: Traditional Art Forms
    • – Intensive training in specific traditional art forms such as Kente weaving, Adinkra symbols, and beadwork.
    • – Mentorship from skilled artisans.
  • Experiential Learning: Artisan Collaborations
    • – Hands-on experience working alongside local artisans.
    • – Collaborative projects that contribute to community development.
  • Cultural Entrepreneurship Workshop
    • – Training on entrepreneurship skills within the context of cultural art.
    • – Marketing, branding, and product development.
  • Exhibition and Showcase
    • – Culmination of the apprenticeship program with an exhibition showcasing participants’ work.
    • – Opportunities for participants to sell their creations and engage with the public.
